A brief introduction to the current moment
Before sharing the experience of the participants at the ESADECREAPOLIS workshop, I will take the liberty of explaining the importance of this moment. In a fast-paced world where technology is taking center stage, what role will we humans play? Without a doubt, we are in a changing era.
Until now, everything revolved around knowledge. The more you knew, the greater your chance of success. However, two facts have changed the rules of the game. First is the accessibility of knowledge. Knowing is no longer enough. We “only” need to know how to search well and use critical thinking to verify this knowledge.
The second fact is the speed at which things happen. There is no longer time to stay updated and absorb everything happening minute by minute. This acceleration goes hand in hand with uncertainty, something we are no longer trained to live with.
The rules have changed. We must accept that an era of consciousness is coming. An era where “self-knowledge becomes a key competency in career decision-making“.
This is how important and transcendent our work at WHI Institute is. Every change can be experienced through fear (rejection, closure, blocks, discomfort, illness) or through love (openness, vulnerability, courage, well-being, health).
What did attendees find at ESADECREAPOLIS?
At ESADECREAPOLIS, we designed the workshop to achieve three main goals:
- Raise awareness about the challenges and changes happening in the professional world
- Explain Salutogénesis as the foundation we use to help people connect with their values and reconnect with their purpose
- Have participants experience our first program focused on comprehensibility (Module 1 of LifeCourse Journey) and quickly preview its content

Why ESADECREAPOLIS?
During the training we, the founders of WHI Institute, received at the Krishnamurti Foundation of America (University of California, Santa Barbara, USA), we learned many things. One key lesson was the importance of finding an “oasis” for personal growth and transformation.
Finding spaces that inspire you to connect with yourself in the middle of the city is not easy. Fortunately, one of our collaborators introduced us to the Creativity Room at ESADECREAPOLIS. We visited it and found everything we needed to enrich it with our materials and dynamics. We did not hesitate.
Do these types of activities make sense?
The short answer is yes, absolutely. In more detail, we achieved all three goals. We even went further. Some attendees had also gone to the Human Factor Congress the day before. This sparked powerful debates that enriched the experience.
Those two hours were highly productive and enriching for everyone. This was a great first experience that we will surely repeat throughout the year.
