Doing vs being? Neither one nor the other—both! As humans, we face the challenge of discovering that inner strength that guides us and gives meaning to what we do. Why? Because it is what we are made of. It is who we are: strength and nature.
Yes, we are nature. We tell ourselves this and share it. We realize it especially when we are immersed in the mountains, the forest, or the sea. I feel myself merging with it. Does that happen to you too?
🧡 So let us ask ourselves: why am I here? What shape do I want to give to my existence? Where have I placed my “doing”? I am here because I want to explore, create, and experience a reality where I express my true qualities. What about you?
🎯 Knowing this authenticity strengthens who we truly are. It gives us the ability to live and be in what we all share: the desire to be happy. That is what all human beings strive for, right?
So… where is the problem? Why is it so hard to connect doing what we do with being who we truly are?
In doing, we all unconsciously show our different faces and interests. These can be material, financial, recognition, or status. Because of this, we compare, control, and worst of all, judge ourselves. This only brings suffering. This way, the desire to be happy cannot be fulfilled. The mind and its personas are insatiable.
💚 “Okay Angela, tell me how to get out of here,” you ask. You will get out when you NEUTRALIZE that doing. “How?” you insist. By doing from being. Doing from being will naturally remove all conditioning and comparison. Because being manifests through the meaning of your doing, through the purpose or mission behind and ahead of you.
🎭 “And how will I know I am acting from there?” Because you will become aware of yourself. You will feel a growing sense of well-being, peace, and trust. That is how you will know.
🌅 “Sometimes I feel very lonely, sad, and in pain… and I feel like I can’t do anything,” you tell me. And don’t do anything, I reply. Do not run away from it. Do not distract yourself. Do not escape. 🌟 Because there IS something you can do: “be with it.” Hold it. Right there, in that moment, we discover we have that capacity and inner strength I mentioned at the beginning.
🧡 In that quiet presence, observing with patience and the continuous will to be with it, you will discover that things do not stay as they are. Things transform. They “trans-mature”…
And this is not a forced state. It is not a rational or mental transformation. It is not self-imposed. No, it is not that.
You will observe that it happens naturally. You will feel something internal shifting without “you” doing anything.
And this is trained by being in that silence, by meditating…
💚 This is how we learn to live as the nature we are. Our lives simply begin to fill with balance.
I wish you a happy summer,
